Originally I had thought it’d be a joint celebration with my Birthday at the end of July, but the courts took more time than anticipated.
This party has been a phantom beacon for me to look to through the divorce process, I never really knew when or where it would be but I knew it would be happening someday.
When things got really tough I even created a Divorce Wish List on Amazon.com to keep my mood light, maybe the prospect of “registering” for my divorce since I’d never registered for my wedding would be something positive to focus on.

No it doesn’t really matter in the long run, but I thought it would be an interesting if not fun exercise. I had two incarnations online; Spring-late Summer 2008 and beginning again on January first 2009. Honestly, I’m not sure I would have rejoined again but I lost a bet and the loser’s reemergence onto the online scene was the wager. I’m not kidding.
There had been only a slight break in the heat, but anything felt like extreme relief.

Summer started on full-blast and by mid June I was practically ready for snow. Scott and I decided to take advantage of sub 95degree temperatures and headed into manhattan where, at my request, we were finally get our Keys to the City.
